Poss site for clean winds in south east Edmonton

North of Leon's on the Whitemud, 1 block northeast - enter from 50th street.
I've been keeping an eye on this as the snow has melted away. I'll go check it tomorrow but as long as construction doesn't move in it looks good and
flat and should give some clean wind.
The land is for sale and currently owned by the City - in today's economy we might have a place to play for a while. (Wouldn't it be nice to buy it?)

I've noticed that spot myself, seems to get some nice clean winds.

Had a good drive by today and it looks like development might start this spring here but I'll keep an eye on it. Easier to beg forgiveness than ask
permission right? It's still for sale by the City.
There are a few hazards (survey stakes, random dirt piles) but otherwise looks smooth. Trouble is it's dirt. Imagine a pre-construction site that's
been flattened by earthmovers. Little spikes of weeds growing here and there. Not a place to crash a kite but if you can get it up and keep it up
(little blue pills don't count) it looks like it's rideable. I'll walk it soon and see if there are any tire punching threats out there.
