Nor Cal Kiters: NABX trip planner.
I wanted to see who from norcal was going to nabx this year, it looks like me and Nate (Soylent) will be carpooling this year with my son Kiah. we
will probably drive down on tuesday March 31 and leave on sunday morning. we may need help hauling some gear so if anyone else is going down with
room to spare I might need your help. Otherwise I will be doing it national lampoon style on the top of my car.
Maybe we should have a base camp on the playa so we can represent.
Lets have a roll call to see who is going.

I will be there, unless the govenator cuts my wife's paycheck or worse we get an IOU from the state of CA instead of a paycheck.
I'm stashing cash, because I don't think my mortgage company will take an IOU :puzzled:
Hopefully I should know something in the next few weeks.

NABX has a rule about selling gear on site.
I'm sure Dakitze and the others will have extra gear but they are not permitted to do business on site.
Like D'sliddy says " fly them on Sunday , sell them on Monday " !

Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Bladerunner beat me to it, but he is correct. No sales at NABX. The NABX crew has rules and I follow them. Plus I am there to have fun also. I sell
kites everyday ... nabx is my holiday :wee: Also if someone needs something asap Corey and Ken both have shops right there in Vegas they will be your
go-to-guys
But if someone buys from me before the event I will bring it down and delivery it to you at the event. I do not think this is against the rules.
Someone please u2u me if it is against the rules to not further hijack this topic.

I was thinking pay for it and have it delivered there, Save on shipping.
So are you expecting a shipment before NaBX was more of what I was wanting to know. It would be great to get a new BlazeII 5M and have some technical
help there since I have never flown with a bar. Will I also need a harness. and do you have those at Dakitez

I am very interested in this Kite. Do you think it will be a good fit with what I have now. My 5.5 scares me more than it being fun. MY 7 meter has
barely even seen the sky. The 2M is the go to kite for my right now. I am thinking a 5M depower should fill the 2-5.5M quite well. If we can split
the cost up that would work out good for me. OR I can just get it and you can send it to me. I don't know if you are interested in trading? I have a 2005 Northkite 18M I don't think I will everuse it. it is just the kite and
bag. no lines bar pump. It is in good shape bladers pump up no rips or tears.
Do you know if regular none kite vendors can sell off a kite or two at Nabx. I was thinking of bringing lots OF Soda and give it away with an expected
donation of .50 This would be just come by leave .50 and grab a pop. or come by grab a pop and take off. it would be up to the person if they want to
donate. Could I work out a percentage to go to NABX. I am not looking to get rich off soda sold at a reasonable price. any soda over $1 is buggyway
robbery.:frog::bigok::bigok:

Count me too. Leaving Santa Rosa, CA by car & maybe a small U-haul trailer. At about $20 a day rental, not sure. Last year, packed everything on
top & hitch rack to make room for 4.

I'll be going as usual. This year my father-in-law is coming with me. He has always wanted to go and this year he is stepping up.
With all my camera gear, I doubt I'll have any extra room (I never do).
We are coming in on Thursday (maybe Wednesday), and leaving on Sunday.

A 3 count here "Dad, Wife and Me"... A big white Ford van (14 passenger), maybe a 5 count down and 4 count back in the van and pulling the rear seats
for gear, might get a u-haul for gear... If any transport is needed let me know and maybe we can all pitch in and get the trailer and I'll tow it...
NOR-CAL KITERS need a Base camp, I have so much on my plate but if time permits I might try and make a flag for the NOR-CAL KITERS to find their way
home...

yep - wrong page - meant to put this on when you are arriving - I have not even finished my first class of vine! and Yet - I suppose, that for
some strange reason some of you Nor Cal folks might have a buggy or two here in Oklahoma that needs to be on the Playa - I might just be able to do
that!

I'm hoping to have a flag pole to represent the Nor Cal Kiter's Base Camp it will be 20' tall and a bright green flag made of all our favorite
material... "RIPSTOP" If I have time I'll paint my Screwy logo or maybe something like "NOR-CAL KITERS"... Here are some photos of the pole and
stand...

I'll be there... with my wife as well. We are heading down for the pre-event at Elmers/Superior and then over to NABX later in the week. Taking the
new, bigger, better RV with all the toys packed in underneath. We might have some room for a few extra kites, etc if anyone is really out-of-room (we
are in Santa Clara).

Nor Cal Kiters Flag
Here is a photo of the flag I made and will have this up at NABX for us Nor-Cal Kiters...
The white van in the driveway is the van that we'll be a NABX with...

My thoughts are to have my SCREWYFITS Logo on the flag but I'm open to suggestions... I don't want to make it the SCREWYFITS base camp, but the
Nor-Cal Kiter's base camp... If everyone is O.K. with the SCREWYFITS Logo then I'll do that, other wise lets come up with something that works for us
all...

Good to go - that should stand out pretty well in the desert. I think the "kiters" would be appropriate. How's this for a window tag for the van -
we all believe is called the expansion
