Ahh.... the famous "Tophat video!" Sends shivers up any kiters neck! It is real undoctored video of an updraft gone real bad! I forgot the injuries
but he survived and did an interview about the flight later.
frankly, I am surprised you have not seen this before. I would almost say you were lucky not to have seen it! That video has never left my head on any
jump that I feel I am going a wee bit too higher than I wanted to. Freaky- you better believe it!

Here is a link to the video with the interview at the end. I know this stays in the back of my mind when you feel the kite hit second gear as you are
going up. I think anyone that sees this video never forgets it.

Definitely has instilled same fear in me... I saw that video real early into kiting. Has kept me very cautious. Sometimes I JUST watch injury videos
to keep me in check, sometimes I forget how dangerous this stuff can be.

We are all just one up draft away from being in the same situation. We can all be as cautious as we want, but mother nature can grab you that quick.
