Screwy, what effect did you observe by changing the crossover knot? I've never seen anything written about it including in the owners manual.

Have you read the thread about this kite "Blade is king" It used to be the 8th most posted to threads. Great discussion.

What's up BB..

Well... the kite gains turning speed when the knot is moved in (so more pig tail hanging)... funny thing, DAKITEZ got a 6.5m Midnight to play with and then I was hooked and ordered one (a Rasta but had to settle for Petrol)... The midnight came on the first knot and the petrol on the second knot (middle knot)... weird that they ship with dif settings...

I prefer the middle knot when in bug setting, as its sportier and has speedy turns... in lift setting thy kite turns well enough on the powers alone...

Lower wind I would put it on the 3rd knot (3rd knot in) so you can keep it moving and create apparent...

FUN FUN FUN Kite!!!

Thanx for the link... great thread...

blc0527... NICE JUMP!!! fun stuff!!!

thanks screwyfits. it was blowing NE at 18-23kts off the water so it wasn't as gusty as usual which in my experience has made all the difference in the world. When it picked up to like 25-30kts we got a couple sick jumps and got a few hard knocks before we chickened out and went windsurfing! my mom had put the camera away unfortunately, Ill get some bigger ones next time its windy hopefully and post them. pray for wind bros!
