Mood: They're ALL good ideas. Right up until they become BAD ideas.

Insurance for Canadian Kiters

I've been having a conversation with a fellow kiter here in Edmonton and he's done some digging and found that his homeowner's policy covers his kiting exploits. To quote him directly:

I reviewed my homeowner policy and talked to my broker just now on the phone and the word is coverage is available on my homeowner policy. Here's the quote in my homeowner's insurance booklet:

"We will pay all sums which you become legally liable to pay as compensatory damages because of unintentional bodily injury or proprty damage arising out of your personal actions anywhere in the world."

[End Quote]

Happy news to us Canucks - I'm going to review my policy and make sure it's there too. Not that I ever hope to have to use it but if I ever find myself in the unfortunate circumstance it's good to know I may be covered. Thanks to Pierre for digging this up.

My household insurance also reads that way. Of course they may end up with a different opinion depending on the event.
Speaking of things I think :duh: I'm insured for ....
I have the medical coverage set-up for travel as part of my Visa package. I am counting on it kicking in when I let go of a quick release and my finger comes off with it or something :wow:

Gordy, Did your travel medical coverage kick in or have you left an arm, leg and a finger tip in Vegas :?:
I guess what gets torn off in Vegas STAYS in Vegas
How's the recovery coming along ?
