A dirty thing

So, what do you do for a dirty kite?? My buggy bro, Said to throw it in the wash? Will this damage the kite?? Or, just hang it, and hose it off. But that won't get the deep down dirt. I could just keep flying a pigpen!!

I suggest hosing it off and use a soft cloth to go over the muddy spots. Then let it air dry thoroughly before packing it away. Otherwise do not use detergents or machines and do not worry too much about dirty kites... they fly just as well as clean ones. 20 years of flying and the only reason I've washed a kite was to get off the ocean slime. Sea water doesn't dry very well and leaves the kite to rot in the bag.
