snowkite video using ATC2K helmet cam

hi guys

I made my first video using this helmet camera ATC2K

The first section I was filming my son while skiing.

The rest is my snowkite session today at http://www.kiteproject.ca, a spot nearby Montreal

I need to better fix the cam on my helmet. And I need to stop moving my head. Dont worry I dont suffer parkinson disease
:wink2:

Awesome! Looks like you have a great kite community there - might have to plan a trip next winter to see you guys. How does the quality of the YouTube footage compare to the raw footage?

I ordered direct from Oregon Pacific but they say on their site that they don't ship to Canada so I had it sent to my friend's mom who is a snowbird in Arizona. She's going to pack it with a kite I snagged and send them both to me. Really handy when you want to buy something off eBay.com and they won't ship to Canada ; )

guys

you can buy direct on ebay, some will ship to canada but will charge a lot for shipping.

I was rubbered for shipping at 43$ advertised priority shipping but got to my home 25 days later and shipping was paid 17$.

for the quality, I was expecting a bit more.

I really need to install something that will fix the cam more solidly to my helmet. The rubber strap is not just enough

A nice tip when filming, is try not to move the head and look all around. I should try to fix in one direction to get a better footage. the image stabilizer is not top #1, but for 80$ what to expect

it also requires a sunny day. otherwise the image clarity suffers

we have many crowded spots around here, too many snowkiters in quebec

check my next video on next weekend. I am going to an event, 100+ kiters expected. I'll try to shoot some nice vids

here is another video made by my friend stef (HQ reseller here in Mtl), he bought the same cam.

same spot, same day. Stef made a much better video than I. He was not moving the head too much, and he went riding up to the end of the farm where the surface was flatter with some 6inches of powpow. there were less vibration on that surface, and the video quality came better

check this out

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G-ON4_UlAE

I can be seen in the video during the first 35 seconds, where stef and I cross over

Of course, I didnt have my Buzz suit :spin: :spin:

some more videos next weekend where we'll hook up the cam to a LEI bladder, and the bar
