2007 Pre Event

The Pre-event is almost upon us. There will be buggies, mountainboards, kite boarders, stunt kites and a very impressive array of single line kites / sky displays will be flying that weekend as well. So whatever your kiting passion is... you'll be able to find it at San Luis Pass for the DBBB Pre-event.

This PIC is what we will be able to look forward to!

Come on down and join the fun.

There will also be a dirtsurfer, if they're allowed. Otherwise, there will be one anyway. Hope we get some good wind.

11-11-07 east beach

Started out at Slp at 12 noon---wind was south at 10 mph--did not even get a kite out. Drove to east beach--beach in good (see pics) shape---winds 5 to 8 mph--put up the 5.0 ace--kept luffing on me,
need 10 to 15 with that kite . sat out awhile waiting for the winds to pick up--- the Confederate air force had their vintage bombers out flying as well as air force f-16 ---what a sight---winds picked up 10 to 12 -- put up the 5.5 bullet--got some good runs from the base of the south jetty all the way to Stuarts beach. got some good harness practice in--top speed 22.5 mph--temp on Sunday was 84---toasty wor this time of year--hope the good weather holds up for the next 2 weeks--also saw the dead bird (gull).
lookin forward to learning some more about bugging at the bash.
Herb

Looking Good!

NPW's also double as good table cloth's. (guess I should actually fly one though before making fun of them)

Or go early and arrive on Thursday:

Thursday
North winds 15 to 25 knots becoming northeast 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters choppy.

Yep, looks like tomorrow is going to be right. Trying to figure out how I can manipulate a half day off. It's kind of hard since I'm taking off all next week. We're not really pressed with anything, though. It will suck if it's super windy tomorrow and then doesn't blow for the next 4 days.

Tell me about it... Hope you find a way. I'd love to take off and give my Scorpion a try on the water with the winds that are forecast.

had a nice little session from dawn to 10 at George Bush park. I hated to leave, but I didn't want to push my luck with work.
