Thursday Storm??? Update 10/16/07

Well looks like I'll have some HEAVY winds or, get blown out... Who knows yet... But the forcast here (Portland, OR. PDX) for Thursday is calling for 25-35mph, gusting 45-50mph winds inland & Possible Headland Winds on the Coast/Beach's for NW Oregon of 35-50mph, Gusting 75+mph... At that rate & those winds I may have to resort to my smallest 56" 2-lineThunderfoil, (W/200lb Dacron lines, 10' or 100') to even begin to have a chance in those winds... Wish Me Luck...

I would go with a plastic grocery bag in those winds.

Tried that one before, above 50 or so and plastic bags are toast... :singing:

Just sitting in the buggy and opening up your jacket works pretty good. Upwind is pretty tough though....:frog: But hey, whatever it takes to have fun.

UpDate... W/Pics 10/18/07

Well with NO windmeter & observing the latest & just past, windspeeds at PDX (Portland International Airport) I just had the ProFoil 1.5mē up in 30knot winds, 34.5mph, & I CAUGHT Air... About 6"-10" or so, I know my Feet were, NOT ON THE GROUND, During a good gust & Being raised back up from a sitting position... & Plenty of good 10-15' scuds...
