Just kidding, I was wondering how the 8m Ace was also.

Overall, a very decent kite for the price. I still need to fly it more to get comfortable with it. Also I need to try a few mods to make the tips more stable. One thing I've noticed is that when this kite collapses, it turns into a real mess about half the time. Seems to happen a lot more when the wind is low.

Yeah Ive seen you and Jim rolling along nicely. Are you waiting for bigger winds before the mod?

nope, I've just been busy. I haven't flown for a couple a weeks. Heading out tomorrow though :tumble:. Jarv on RK posted a pretty simple mod that he thought helped stablize the tips some. I'll probably try something like that first... Hopefully there will be some decent wind to give the Brooza another go before I send it off to Sthrasher.

I took the Ace out briefly yesterday but got too frustrated with the tips folding in :flaming:
I decided that I'd have more fun flying my 6m a little underpowered then deal with the Ace.

Good Idea with the Brooza.... I hang on to it for the event .... looking forward to it

8m sucks. The bridles are different length so are the lines. Completely unfliable. Wasted 175$. Don't bother!

I've been having a good time with mine honestly. I changed the AOA slightly which helped the tip issue because i left the tip bridles alone. It made it really lifty though, possibly a little too lifty for me right now. I know a got a good 10' high pendulum jump in the other day, and the winds were probably around 15 or so. Scary but fun.

So yes a little tweaking is probably necessary, but overall i think they are decent kites.

if ANYONE wants their pansh kite modified to a SHEETABLE depower kite.... email or U2U me and we'll work out the details.

it would be a great experiment... also could promise to be a great kiteboarding trainer kite once modded for depower.

I'm wondering if the bridles and lines came that way, or did you find that they have stretched over time to become different lengths?

Also, when did you get your kite? I have heard that Pansh has been doing a better job with pre-stretched lines (don't know about the bridles) since the middle of 2007.

Just FYI...my little Pansh Legend 3.0m with Pansh lines hasn't shown any stretching after several hours of flying in 8-12 mph winds. Might eventually stretch with higher forces or more time...I dunno.

@ratindahat...sounding nice man! Glad you're getting some enjoyment out of it now. What lines are you using with yours?

I have to admit the built quality of pansh looks on the level with HQ.
My maiden flight with 8m pansh on original lines was awesome. The wind's were 20 km/h and then later around 30-35. Nice pendulum jumps.
Second flight in 15-17 km/h winds kite always fly's to the left. extremely frustrating.
I bought pansh 2 weeks ago.
To compare with crossfire 6.3 which was flying excellent under those conditions.
I really dont know what is wrong with the kite, but there is something wrong for sure, I will buy new lines and try it on them, HQ lines breaks are same length as power lines so the kite barely lunches.

I have to disagree. The Ace is decent but nowhere near the quality of HQ in terms of build, standardization (technical specs), accessories (lines, handles, bacpack, killers, stake, DVD) R&D, quality assurance, and customer support! HQ is right there with Flexi and Ozone in terms of quality. Pansh in the same league/ballpark? The Ace seems to be like a box of cracker jacks. You never no what youre gonna get. Some have lift, some very little. Some tip, fold , and fall, others dont, etc.... Again, standardization (technical specs), and quality assurance seem to be their limfacs! Just my opinion!

I really like mine, but maybe i was just lucky.

I'm flying with the HQ colored line set i picked up when i purchased my profoil. Can't remember the specs off hand, but they have done fine so far.

I fly on a crossover bar because i hate handles for boarding. So far i have had a hard time boarding with it because i'm still learning what to do to stay on the ground when i want to. Over all though, for the price, and my wants, it has been great.

I have a 7m Ace and it flies fine. The other day I was dragging the kite on the ground and it took some sand inside. I never experienced so much lift until then.
5-6' up in the air was a bit too much. I remembered then that "fear is my friend" and took the 4m out.

It was not a lot of sand but must have been enough to change the AOA few degrees.

I fly with flexifoil lines and crossover bar.
It has been a good kite for me and I'm thinking of a 5m Blaze for high wind days.

Hey Bloah, grab a marker, stake your lines taunt, and check your lengths. If they are uneven, mark them, and re sleeve. If they are even, save your money, and start comparing left to right bridle lengths for symmetry.
I've read great reviews of the Ace and Blaze II's so far, but there bridles are a bit cheap looking.
