XBow - Everything Old is New Again!
2006 Cabrinha XBow. I think it was the second year the XBow was in production. The first kite based on the Bruno Laginioux patent to go on the
market (LEI's were all C-kites before this).
I picked it up with the OverDrive bar, bag, and pump in mint condition in 2010 for $250. High aspect, 2:1 pulley system, and 7 struts. Fast kite,
incredible depower, and rigid as heck - if a bit heavy and with high bar pressure.
Was a great kite for hauling a$$ on. But, 7 struts to pump up separate from the leading edge. Until Now! DIY one-pump. Lots of seam ripping,
making valve adapters with TearAid Type A,, dacron and scrim fabric reinforcements, hose and fittings from McMaster and Amazon, and a few zip ties.
Sewed up neoprene covers for each unit.
A dirtbag gearhead never throws a good kite away...

Flying:
1.5 m Ozone LD Stunt
2.2, 3.2, 4.2 m C-Quads
2, 3, 4, 5.5, 7.5m PKD Broozas
9m PL GII, w/ adjustable rear strap mod
Dual mode mod PL GI 13, HArc 6, FArc 12
Cab 5m Convert, 7&9m Xbow, 12m SB
Lots of stunt kites and a Rev Supersonic
Riding:
Libre Special buggy, PL Comp buggy

This is great!
Older tube kites like yours are often thrown out, lost forever or repurposed, and with new kites now attaining used car prices, this makes perfect
sense.
My first LEI was a 13m xbow IDS 2010 bought new. Fast, incredible depower, and rigid, that's god damed right!
Owned many xbows and switchblades since then. Cabrinha holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Bought a 5m SB a couple of years ago for that once-in-a-decade
storm that is yet to materialise.

Thanks for the props!
I still have way too many kites, as shown in my signature. But I haven't bought any for years. Flying the quiver, from foils to inflatos.
Also have a 2007 SB 12 in mint shape that could stand for the one-pump conversion. Probably worth it, cuz it is another sweet kite. Total cost for
parts and materials for the mod was around $100. A bunch of time for sure, but I like to sew...
