I don't think Georgia has required masks outdoors for a long time (if they ever did.)

Prolly not on the beach as even JIA agrees that our event is uniquely qualified to maintain social distancing. They are good at keeping the whale
snot out of the teeth, though.
Looks like many of us will be fully vaxxed, but we should bring masks for social and public interactions, and most responsible businesses are
requiring them.
The governors can yank my downtube but I'm not hanging up my mask until the CDC and Uncle Anthony say that the coast is clear.

We arrived yesterday evening. Staying at our usual place through JIBE (it's damn nice being retired!)
Got to assemble the equipment, and yes Angus, that stimulus check brought a Quatro Wind Drifter and Slingshot Hover Glide foil into the quiver! I got
the ozone WASP last year for kite skiing. I'm hoping Randy will have words of wisdom and his
foil for words of advice.
The beach looks great as always. The tides are about what they will be for JIBE and they should be great!
Be missing you Pokite, please send the cookies if you can't make it yourself! Will Frank be coming?

We can tell Elizabeth that there has been a chemical spill on the beach and we need her expertise. The Golden Ray is still in the harbor channel
being cut up, so it's plausible!

We'll be arriving on saint Simons on Saturday 5/1 and staying there both weeks. I'll be coming to JIBE at least 2 or 3 days. Hoping to do some
buggying on SSI as well... love those sunset sessions on East Beach!
I'm going to take a nap now

There has been a great upgrade of the beach access at the old commercial center. Now the Oceanview Beach Park.
The former steps are now a ramp the width of the one at Great Dunes. Lots of parking and the beach to the south, is vacant
and abuts Kite Beach. "This is where your Parking Fee Money goes"
The beaches are quite flat right now. Few and shallow tide pools to be had for the quick cooling dip.
You know you want to come and ride!

That's exciting that the beach is flat and smooth again. It will be nice to let it fly down the beach.

Me too. If it wasn't for soliver I probably never would have gotten into kite buggy because he found the spots locally to ride and met up with me
when I was just getting started to show me how it all worked and how much fun it was. Good luck.

Leaving the house (rig) at 4:00 am tomorrow for El Paso Airport. Staying on mainland near exit 29 and our rented storage space. Will pick up the
UHaul truck Monday AM. See all y'all soon; can't wait to see the "new" beach.

Good thing it wasn't yesterday Angus, I saw part of the thread on Friend of Jekyll Isl. where the first post was: "Is anyone hearing about a sniper at
the I-95 overpass and exit 29 in JI. Police everywhere etc...?"
and one of the replies was: "Swat team sniper. Crazy naked guy near truck stop"
Missing all the fun again.... have a good JIBE

It looks like nice wind today, I've been watching on the web cam to see someone fly by
Also see posts that the Golden Ray salvage is on fire today and a lot of smoke between Jekyll and St Simons!
I can see a couple of kites top the far right 0 south end of the web cam field of view but whoever is bugging keeps stopping and turning before coming
down by the holiday Inn for the web cams

Looks like we are some of the last around..(came in late).along with Philip and family.
Despite howling wind.....it has been a pleasure meeting and seeing you all again.... Most of all riding
Thanks Errol for hooking Rebecca up with some tandem fun. She was down with such strong wind... and you made her smile and the trip worth while.
Hoping for better wind today and tomorrow, but smiles either way!
Until our paths cross again.
