Now that I'm assured that Steve won't crash the party, I'd love to join you. What site do you use for a wind forecast for Alvord? Camping SW end?
Sorry, Steve! Just jokin'.

We'll be there for the fun!
Plan to get onto the playa at Frog Spring, 8 miles from end of paved road if you come in from the SW.
On the playa, head SW to a good camp spot.

Many thanks to John and Sarah for their hospitality. Thanks to John and Rick for rescuing me from the wicked Alvord mud.
Thanks especially to Tami and Cyd for tolerating this relative neophyte and allowing me to play with their wind toys.

A totally awesome experience (even with the near disaster with my car). Can't wait to go back someday.

Hopefully we'll all meet again down the road.

Absolutely brother. Was a pleasure to share the playa with you! Rescues are all part of the Adventure! Thank you Dick, CID, and Tami, wouldn't have
been the same without you! Can't wait to see you all at SOBB someday. NAPKA US541HQ: Beamer V 5.0m,

Thanks again to Lady Blitz and Mr. Hound for a fine dinner.
Rick, I thought you made up the legend of the smooth north wind, but it came up long enough for all 3 of us to make it to the east shore and back.
