JIBE lost & found

Okay JIBE arc fliers, I have a bit of mystery to solve. At some point I ended up with two medium length Navigator bars. I was thinking at some point I
must have picked up one by mistake - on all my navigator bars I put a small metal ring on the end of the depower line where you attach your leash at
the chicken loop (see photo). on thursday i pulled a med bar out and went to attach my leash and thought it was odd I didn't have the metal ring there
but shrugged it off - then friday pulled out my medium bar and the ring was there so looked and saw i had two medium bars - so it was probably
wednesday or early thursday when I grabbed this other bar. I asked Bob and Errol but both have their bars - Jim and Phillip don't use Navigator bars.
Here is a little twist to the story - packing to go home I saw that my small Navigator bar bag was empty and I am missing my small navigator bar so
someone must have my small bar and I have their medium. But I don't even recall pulling my small bar out to use it last week, just the medium one. Two
things to distinguish my bar, one would be that there is a metal ring attached to the end of the depower line underside of the chicken loop, and also
one of my steering lines was a few inches shorter from line stretch so i adjusted one steering line - i think i tied a knot on the end of one leader
to move the longer line down or something like that. (Errol this had me wondering whether it was the bar you were using where one line was all of the
sudden a different length but if it was my bar then the adjustment i had done on the leader should have made them equal)

So that was a long story and bottom line i have someone's medium Nav bar and someone has my small bar - only a few of us arc users.

small bar is around 17" wide, medium bar is around 20"

You know Mark, it is very possible that may have happened. Now that I think about it. I NEVER remove my bars from my kites, but one of the days that I
landed the Charger for a breather and the tip got to flapping and tangling the downwind lines, Jim came over to help me untangle and he offered to
unhook the bar to make things easier. I don't know how exactly it could have happened, but I may have ended up swapping that bar on accident. Now that
I think about it, that would be the perfect explanation for how that one line felt so out of whack on my kite. I will unpack the Charger and check the
bar this weekend and get back to you on what I find. If it comes down to it, I will ship the bar back to you and cover the cost of shipping mine(maybe
mine) back down to GA, since it was my mistake. I can't believe we didn't think of checking this while we were standing in my driveway!

It occurred to me driving that my small bar had a similar situation with lines that all of the sudden after only using it a few times one steering
line was about 5 inches longer. I think I ended up tying a knot on one of the outside bar leaders to shorten that line so they were all equal at the
other end. I thought that might explain your bar lines but my adjustment made them equal and I think you might have noticed it being a shorter bar and
you didn't recognize the look of that medium bar. But have a look, it would be funny if we did switch things around at some point and that explained
everything, not anyone's mistake.

Yet another reason why each bar should be a unique hand-carved wooden sculpture.

Just sayin'. ;-)

Nice work, pbc! Noticed those in the picture gallery, was wondering who that was

Thanks. :-) At least one of these is going to end up in the auction at IBX this year. I'm thinking one fully-outfitted bar and one completely nekkid
bar, but we'll see.
