Right now we're sitting in Fredricksburg VA waiting for our wheel bearing and spindle to be replaced. Ah the joy of the open road.

Thanks to everyone who made this such a great event - especially Angus for doing all the organizing and many other things as well, and Cheeks for the Wed. breakfast, the great t-shirts and probably many other things I don't even know about. Sorry you had to leave early Ted. I enjoyed meeting you and hope the rest of your return trip goes better. There were many other folks I got to meet, or know a little better this time around, my 4th JIBE in a row and I appreciated the opportunity to do so. I had 3 great days - clearly the best I've ever had in my buggy and enjoyed every minute of it.

Oh no Ted. Hope y'all are back on the road safe. Out of state breakdowns are no fun at all..

We arrived home yesterday after our internment at the Red Roof Inn. When the right front bearing puked at 70mph it took
out the bearing, spindle, rotor, and pads. The spindle was the part they don't make anymore. A used one was found and a
bill that would have purchased a depower kite paid and away we went. Just part of life's journey I guess. Holly's working
on feeling better, and I'm checking for south wind at Pine Point for the buggy. We'll be back next year! Maybe Mark, Davis,
myself, and any others with car troubles can start a new club, The Brokedown and Trashed Buggy Haulers!

Your road story gives me pause - my car has 282k miles. I always worry about taking it on long trips. (OBX twice a year, Indiana several times, Florida once or twice a year, Jekyll once a year) I sometimes think it is a ticking time bomb, but it is so perfect for everything I do.

Glad y'all made it home Ted. Yes I'm a member of the beater club too. Last year for us was a doosy too.
