Cheap and easy to source. Unless you want the actual PL branded spars then they are not cheap or so easy to find.

As mentioned, tent poles will work fine. So do fiberglass driveway markers.

I have some heavy duty carbon fiber hollow rods that work awesome for one piece spars.

You would need to cut them to length then glue and cap ends, but they are very lite and strong.

i think they are 48 inches long. 12 bucks a stick plus shipping.
