Nothing is ruled out.
Input from experienced kite skiers is solicited.
During my windsurfing days, I preferred a seat harness.
I liked to sit into it low, rather than higher chest harness
that others preferred.
This will be my first kiting winter.
No experience yet.
The Cascades snow base is building quickly so I need
a harness for kite skiing pretty soon.
Always on the steep part of the learning curve.

Wind-dog: Great to read that you are going to snowkite this year! My favorite way to get hauled around by the wind. I own the Ozone SB harness and
am about the same size as you it would seem. I can get it over my snowpants with the straps fully loosened and then I can synch them down a bit once
over my hips. I would not really be able to fit it too well over my jacket however, so I wear it under my jacket with the bottom of the zipper up a
few inches so the hook can peak out. Works great.
What I really like about the SB harness is that if you leave it a little loose it will slide around your waist and point the spreaderbar hook a bit
towards the kite. Nice "feature" since you are facing forward relative to the kite so you don't get as much twisting force on your trunk that way.
Good luck! If you end up going retail, Chris has them on the Hardwater site for $150.

1) The Access SB does not come in sizes. One size fits most. And most being bigger riders. :D
2) That is a hell of a good deal and as much as HWK would like to sell you a harness, you should snap that up. :P

Jerry - Thanks, once again, your shopping skills led me to another purchase.
Chris - I'm sure we'll do some more bizness soon.

HA! I had to read that a couple of times myself. OK, "peek out".
The irony in all this is that I actually pretty much exclusively snowkite with my re-ride equipped Ozone Access kites, not my Peaks which I like for
buggying. The re-ride system makes for a smoother taking down of the kite when I need to do that quickly and safely and packing up solo is far
easier.
Where I snowkite the snow is deep and soft. Once I have my skis off I'm usually postholing up to my hips. Taming a Peak alone in such conditions can
be quite a chore. Activate the re-ride (pull in and secure the 5th line a few meters) and the Access (or Summit or Frenzy thus equipped) crumples up
like a wadded up piece of paper and lays on the ground even in strong wind. You can wind your lines pulling this clump of kite towards you until it
has come to you, not the other way around. This is key in deep soft snow.
