This is why I voted for Brexit. When the banana frying started, I knew it was the beginning of the end.

Great video as always Juan. Throwing a BBQ into the mix is an instant 3 thumbs up from me.:thumbup::thumbup:

I didn t try Franks bananas, because there was no meat in it.:D
But the others liked it. Frank prepared it with coconut, almonds, vanilla ice and amaretto...

So Juan,,, since you fly these kites all the time could you share your opinion of them? Do you prefer one over another? Are there particular flight characteristics in some models that you like or dislike? Are some better upwind or downwind? Perhaps some have different build quality? I generally fly race kites on handles over here but when the wind is nuclear and gusty I put up a tube. Are some easier to get a hold of online than others since there are not really any dealers here in the states. Thanks for the help :thumbup:

The R1V4 is maybe the best kite for buggy racing at the moment. Its easy to handle, very stable in gusty wind and very fast. Upwind performance is good, downwind is excellent!
The Boom is more tricky. To find the right trim is not easy and it takes some time learning how to fly it stable and fast. It doesnt forgive the pilots mistakes. But if you can handle it, its a weapon! Upwind and downwind performance is both very good and the acceleration is outstanding. But in very gusty winds, this kite is a challenge.
I love both kites - prefer the Boom a little bit, but use the R1V4 if the conditions a difficult or dangerous.
Another thing is, that the Ozone has kevlar/aramide bridlelines, which means it is not allowed for international races or for example for races in Germany. NL/F/UK allowed aramide for their national races. A spare dyneema bridle costs EUR 420 plus 2h to change it. The Boom has dyneema, so its legal for all races.

Yes, kteguru. Been waiting for someone to post up too. I keep checking but see nothing.
We can at least rely on Juan and Jantie for videos.
I don't know how Juan gets so much free time for Buggies, Buddies & BBQs, (there's the title of your next video, you're welcome ;))
I really wish I had more playtime. :(

Another good video. Always leaving my hungry for more ;)
