Ice Screw Sheath (and gear sleds)

Here's a pic of the ice scre sheaths I've come up with. 3/4" ID PVC pipe, a bit of 3/16" bungie, and snap hook through the screw handle. Check the diameter of your screw - you may need 1" ID pipe. Cheap and rugged.

A couple velcro or bungie loops would keep it on your spreader bar or harness. I 'biner my bright orange Paris sled to it if I leave the screw unattended. The Paris expedition sled rocks - about $25 - $30 at REI and number of other places. Tough, light gear hauler. Can be turned into a nice, inexpensive pulk. Thanks for posting this Krumly! That sled looks like a great deal for the money.
