Vancouver WA, places to fly
My wife and I moved to Vancouver back in February and I havnt had much time to fly but was wondering if anyone had any good spots in Vancouver? I can
go to Portland on the weekends but I am trying to find spots for when I get off work and want to go relax with the kite and crossing the river at rush
hour if you are in the area you know is much like stabbing yourself, to do it voluntarily you must like the pain.
Anyway, I am near Mill plain and 164th if that gives you any idea
I have an apex 3 7.5 and a mountain board, still working on learning the board though, if anyone wants to come fly that would be cool too, i am by no
means an expert at this PK thing yet.
thanks for any input

I can't give you any local info but there is a great crew around Seaside who fly at Sunset Beach. A bit of a drive but a few from Portland think it's
worth while.
There will be a gathering at Seaside Sept. 5 -13. Folks will be there from all over the N.W. . I highly suggest that you try and make it for the
weekends at least.
Dry camping is available in a members back 40 by donation so there will be a cheap place to camp. You will meet all sorts of great people and don't be
shy to ask if you can try their gear.
After you have a taste of riding clean winds on a hard pack beach I suspect you will try to get to the ocean as much as possible? We travel there from
Vancouver Canada for the same reasons.
Come and join us !

thanks for the invite ill see if I can make it. I know what clean winds are like, my family used to have a beach house in Ocean Shores but have since
sold it. Unfortunatly I was only getting into traction kites right as they sold it but have flown plenty of other things previous so I know what the
beach winds are like, super smooth and wonderful.
Right now that sounds lovely. I just went out flying at a local school. winds were choppy and I got slammed by a gust.....beach sounds good right now
