JIBE 2014 video

It took a little time to cull through all the video footage I had and edit something decent together. I was only there for Wednesday, but did end up with 2-3 hours worth of footage, which doesn't seem like a lot, but when you edit it down to 3-4 minutes it can seem like a lot.

So I thought I had some good footage with other people riding because I thought I had followed people enough and caught some of it, but apparently not, cuz it seems from the vid like I rode alone a lot which I know wasn't entirely the case. Probably camera user error. I also wish I had thought to get some shots from a fixed point and got shots of you guys riding by etc., but in all I like what I put together and I hope you enjoy it too.... (Click the pic)

I want to thank Angus for putting together a great event as always. Thanks to Mark for always being helpful and willing to share his wealth of kiting knowledge, and thanks to Davis and his wife Betty Jo for letting me use the T-shirt graphic and for making us some great T-shirts this year (as always).

Thanks to all you guys and gals who came to the event for making this a great get together for the kiting community. It was great to see some people I had met before and meet new people I've only seen online.

I'm going to take a nap now

Nice splashing through the water Spence - love that Ted and Jason seem to be moving to the rhythm of the music. Well done.

Great editing Spencer. Thanks! Reminds us all that a bit of water is a good thing in the hot Georgia sun. Add a good breeze off the ocean and all is good!

Great vid Spencer! It does look like me and Ted are bustin' moves to the song lol. That was a mega splash too. Just good people and good times all around at JIBE. I can't wait until next year.

good job on the video. I especially liked the video taken on the drive in to get a feel for the area.

Thanks a lot guys,... I had fun making this one and I only wish I had been there to join in the rest of the fun

Thanks for posting the video

Honestly I can only take minimal credit for that, it was mostly LUCK! I had a great shot LAST year of Jeff and Fletch chatting and thought it was super fun watching how expressive Jeff was with his hands while he talked, so with that in mind I found that clip and stuck it in... I remember the conversation the 3 of us were having being about how surprisingly deep those rivulets were. Both Jason and Ted were motioning about how it jarred them... Once I saw how it fit with the music, it was just a matter of syncing the music and video up. Super funny.

Yeah man that splash down at 3:07 was super huge. That rivulet was so deep I actually got stuck and couldn't get out on kite power... I had to get out of the bug and relocate... The clip around 1:40 where I got out of the buggy was just following that splash (notice my clothes are soaked :lol)

Thanks gang :D

Wow that ride looks wet. Your camera needed wipers, haha! I also liked the driving intro; gave a nice feel when combined with the outro of walking off from the buggy.
