Looks to be at the convention center. Will this effect us? Just curious.

When I saw this I thought Saturdays challenge was going to be a triathlon day. Like buggy, mountian board and surf challenge.
Or my perfect day, buggy, board and coyotes !

Blade, are you coming to JIBE?

If memory serves me correctly, they will be out of the water before low tide and when the wind comes. They do use a lot of the parking lot that day and the walk ways in and around buggy camp.

Here is a nice little video shot by Todd having Pokite as the main character! Man I just love that guy! It shows that while the triathlon is going on, all the buggys are still at buggy camp.

Last year, by Saturday about 1/2 of the JIBE participants had left and the beach was a little too crowded for me to ride comfortably, though I probably

My arms will probably be like Jell-O by Saturday. LOL

Yea... Jello arms and crowded beach are both good contributions to a mello Saturday.

Like I said (and I can only tell you from last year) it was kinda crowded Saturday with beach goers, and the buggies (what few were left) ended up relegated to the northern end of kite beach near the tidal sign.

That has been my plan but a change in my work situation makes it harder to commit. Still employed and so it will be a matter of what contract I am on at the time.

the triathletes are done by 11am...........there is a sea turtle release that follows around 12 noon.........the regular beach crowd will be out in numbers around kite beach and convention center.................going north or south a 1/4 mile the beach crowd thins out a lot for the buggy and landboarders.......heading south toward the water tower the beach crowd is sparse allowing you to hit some good speeds..........keep in mind this time of year the air temps are mid 80s with water temps at least 75.......add the weekend and triathlon or not people will be out............

Don't let this deter you......the beach is wide with plenty of room to maneuver. During the week the beach crowd is very thin........I've been to every JIBE and there is loads of fun waiting for you buggy and landboard pilots.............same can be said
for the water folks just make sure to bring lightwind gear............
