Whose gonna do the weenie roast???
Hey gang, as you recall, last year we had the first annual JIBE weenie roast at the JI campground. We had a great time of burnt hotdogs, sitting by
the fire, and kite based fellowship.
I'd gladly do it all again, but....
This year I'll only be able to attend JIBE on Thursday. The week coincides with our annual family trip to Saint Simons Island, which is the next
island north of Jekyll, so I won't be able to host the roast. Last year it was at the campground, but it doesn't have to be there...
So I must pass the torch. Who's up for the task?
If you make it Thursday night, I might be able to come.
I'm going to take a nap now

We are defiantly planning to be there again this year. If we stay at the camp ground again we could host this annual event. It was a nice time sitting
around and eating bad food with good friends and conversation.
The only thing that could change is for my health or if we get a house with the Skydog crew.

Great news Dave!!! I don't think it HAS to be at the campgrounds... It'd probably be great at a house!

I'm down for Thursday. Not staying at campground, but I'll roast some weenies wherever the cool kiters are hanging out.

Just spoke with the folks at the JIA and there are options if the campsite does not pan out.
Some of you may recall that south of the JIBE parking lot that there are picnic shelters in the Great Dunes Park and they have cook-out grills. They
are free to use on a first come first serve basis and adult beverages are allowed so long as there is no glass. Bathrooms and running water nearby of
course too.
The only one that must be reserved and paid for is the big one on the main deck.
If the sea breeze stays on, then it mitigates the bugs, too.

Meh.... Seems like interest in the weenie roast may have fizzled out... No worries tho... If I am able to come back next year on more than one day,
I'll resurrect the "tradition"
Good suggestion and thanks Angus... If folks end up interested, maybe we could do that... I really just wanna ride!!!

Spencer, The offer is still open. We got a cottage on Brice road. We'll be pulling in Sunday evening for the whole week.
If you wanted to stretch your visit for two days, you can crash there for a night.

I think there will be interest - some people might not respond until closer to the event. It's nice to hang out with everyone over dinner no matter
where it happens.

Cool then,... whoever wants to host it, just take the reigns!!!... The only reasoning I'm not is cuz I'll only be around one day. I'd love to see
someone have it this year and continue the new tradition!
Your right Mark,... It's a bit early yet.
