If you can bring something to the Thanksgiving lunch, you can let us know on this thread also. I can provide some turkeys again this year. We might get back to the old tradition of frying the turkey on the beach this year. We weren't able to do it last year.

If you can bring a fryer , let us know also.

Finally! Will be there this year. I don't have a fryer, but I can bring booze and chips.

I plan on arriving on Tues. afternoon sometime and have everything ready to buggy on hump day. Not sure what I am going to bring yet but will post that later.

I will be there - not quite sure what day yet maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, Bringing Jim Day with me. Larry Stiles is also coming. I think we will bring a pecan pie and something vegetarian to the T-Dinner. Looking forward to it!!

are there any hotel codes? Where is everyone staying?

I'll be there on the wednesday. I hope to be bringing my son this time. We are booked wed & thurs nights at the Islander East condos on east beach. We will camp on Friday & Sat somewhere on the beach. I'll be bringing a shepherds pie.

We do not do hotel codes anymore. You can find some good deals on the net since it is off season in Galveston.

Took a Run to East Beach on Sunday. NE wind 7 to 12 ,light wind day.
Jeremiah and I got a little bugging in on the 12 side. Introduced a new kiter (Jesse)to the
Peter Lynn (Charger 15) twin skin world. He did well for his first static flying day.
Beach front good hard packed. Little wet and soft to the area to the east. Just need about 20 buggy's out there to pack it down...just 12 days to pre-event weekend...looking good...until then....HK:D

It's been a while since I last checked East Beach. Looks like the main parking lot is covered with puddles of rainwater. But luckily it doesn't look too crowded with tourists and fishers unlike in the summer.

Looking at the photos, it also seems that they installed four giant white pillars around the beach, which may interfere with the upcoming kiting event. :P

Is that one of those RC quadro-copter cameras you're using?

Debbie and I will bring a couple of dishes on Thursday. (Will post what they are when we decide what to make!)

When and where is the Pre-event and BBQ? I didn't check the box when I registered, but would like to attend.

Not sure where everyone will go for the pre-event and sorry to say I have not heard that anyone will be cooking bbq that weekend.

Lol yes what you see is not white pillers its the landing gear on the hexacopter the beach was not too wet where we all buggie at. The sand was a little soft and wet due to rain but not bad with big foots sure it will be better as it drys over the next couple week

Yes, need to get different landing gear for the hexicopter.

I should be down there on the 23rd. Apparently, I got a condo for that week for free since my cousin cant' use it ... woohoo.. no more running back and forth. Now, I just need to ask him which condo ... lol.

I'll be busy Saturday the 23rd, so expect me to be at the pre-event Sunday the 24th.

I can't make the 23rd either (some of the people are just not very good at picking a wedding date...), but I can try to make the 24th if people are still there.

I can do 23 and 24 and some during the week 18th - 22nd if wind is good
