I still have a ton to learn about the different kites but....I own a blade II 4.0 after buying it did I read further about how the tips were prone
to folding in on themselves...I had a good year under my belt with flight but it was rather frustrating at first...This would have ruined someones
experience if this was their first kite so....I will let other more experieced owners of blades chime in....however, this is not a good choice for a
first kite.. very powerful and unforgiving....so ask questions first before you buy and if you didn't and own one now....go slow, try on the "not so
windy days" , do not fly this kite in gusts and most importantly.....WEAR A HELMET!

Kind of a vague question.
Are you wondering from year to year what has changed on the Blade model ?
What are good and bad years to shop for ?
Or what size of Blade will suit you best ?
+1 for the Blade not being a good choice for a 1st kite.

The early blades I - III are probably best avoided for first kite but the IV & V are a bit more user friendly.
Its a high lift kite so not ideal for learning to buggy or the early stages of boarding.
If you can already kite and are looking to get into static jumping then a blade is a great choice. Personally I like the Blade III but the newer ones
are great too. a little less grunty and a little more stable
I would get a 6m and be cautious with wind speed rather than kite size
