Ozone Quantum (With sweet video)

A video about the new buggy race kite by ozone has been released (before it was suposed to be by the looks of things !)

It looks like another cracking kite from Ozone :D

Thoughts ??

Ozone really needs to make a closed cell foil. As far as I know, neither flexifoil nor ozone have ever made one, right?

Got my first firsthand look at a frenzy the other day and now I want one (with closed cells)

We already have a thread discussing this topic:
http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=25839

Also, it seems at this point that Ozone is keeping the single-color designs shown in the video. I was hoping they would keep up with the "digital-age" design trend used in their other 2013 kites, as well as the quantum shown in the photos I posted in the other thread a month ago.

Ozone stated that they will "officially" release the Quantum in the 29th of August, but even if what's in the videos isn't the confirmed final design, there isn't much time to change that.

He said they are all made to be flown on 15m lines... Interesting!

When's it supposed to be released to the public?

Interesting choice on size range. No small kites; and no big kites. And instead of just 3/4/5m, they add a 3.5m in there.

Huh?

All the info I've seen (even in the vid ^^^) says they run 3m up to like 14m I think... Can't remember exactly.

EDIT... It goes up to 13.5m

I was referring to the 2.3 and 2.7 Vapor and 2.5 Yakuza and the 16 and 17m size kites.

If I had to guess; based on the price; it's not a stock item. It's build to order: http://ozonekitesusa.com/proddetail.asp?prod=ozone2014_quant...

If you buy one; they will build it for you.

The low volume; limited market = the high price since they will never do volume runs with these kites.
