Kite Strop Recommendations

I own a few different handle sets, but none of them have home with a strop for connecting to a harness. I'm not sure about if there's any particular one that might be better to buy in general, or tips for making one. I looked around the forums some but haven't seen anything about this.

Mostly want to simply try one out. Probably with my HQ Beamer 3.6 and the metal HQ handles that came with it. The handles have a place to hook one up, but I don't know anything about it. I can always fly with one of my bars for hooking up to my harness, but would love to try it with handles.

I posted a similar question this spring and got some great answers about making your own strop:

I recommend just making your own. I bought some camping rope from an outdoor store. 50ft of it was less than $10, and I have no idea what the break strength is, but it is well more than enough. Just cut it a little less than an arm length from your shoulder to wrist and melt the ends with a lighter and tie a simple knot in each end. Then you can either hook to a loop or a pigtail on any set of handles by making larksheads out of the ends of your strop.

Amsteel @ west marine is like a dollar a foot, and you could tow a car with the 3/16". Get the open weave and it is really easy to use a fid to make the eyes. Then sew to lock, w/ polyester thread.
