So -- getting divorced-- But family is good, kids live with me, and Terri and I are getting along better than we have in years actually. Keeping the house and Kite Fort (YAY!) and so the really nice, huge sun room with the pretty wicker shall forever more be known as -- The Kite Cave! Why? BECAUSE I CAN!!! Anyway, I'm looking for cool ideas to bring it to life. So if you have any kite nick nacks or aviation items to donate or sell, I'm open to ideas. I'll install one or two retired deltas, have high celings so I was thinking of putting up an old FB but I dont have one I want to retire so if anyone has one thats blown or so uncrispy it needs to be repurposed into something else, let me know. I was even thinking of a small arc, or part of an arc that I can install a computer fan in and infate it up in the ceiling for fun? Flexifoil, Ozone, PeterLynn flags? What have people made out of old kites/ripstop?

I should be out there at OOBE again in a few hours. Maybe by lunch time. Winds are already nice this morning. Yesterday was a blast, and today should be even better. (bring your sun shades) We have been using the other field in the far east corner. The front field is being used for golf practice, and he is wanting to grow "hay" up along the otherside so he keeps the back one cut nice for us. The small one is of course for the RC's.

I have a really nice retro Flexifoil flag that would be perfect! It has history now too since I had it in Cali and here in Nevada. I might have some other things to contribute.

You know Bobby, its almost like I started this thread thinking of that exact flag! Lol.

I have a torn up blaze 5mg (blue) and a ozone IMP 3.5 in orange either could be repaired but I think the cost is too high. The Ozone is in better shape but the bridle is destroyed. Cost was over $200 to replace the bridle.

Sorry to hear the bad news, but the kite cave sounds cool, Chris,... I would love to have a kite cave,... But I just got a woodshop, so I'm sure a kite cave is out of the question.

Sorry it's taken me waaay too long to get this going again! But I have gotten a couple things up tonight in the Kite Cave -- Thanks to BeamerBob and Bladerunner!!!

The Flexifoil Flag from Beamer Bob has a bit of history between me and Bobby and has been all over the world. It's really grungy from being flown in all kinds of environments, a bit ratty and a bit moldy but you couldn't find a better piece for the Kite Cave.

The Peter Lynn Feather Banner is from the most awesome Bladerunner! He was the very first and most eager to help with the Kite Cave and he sent this waaaay back when I first started this thread and alot of crap going on in my life kept it on the back burner but it's an awesome piece and my ex wife will surely hate the #@%$#! of it!! (My Kite Cave damn it!!).
