Just confirmed my first water lesson for tomorrow!!!! SO stoked!!!

First lesson went "swimmingly". Yes, I know, terrible pun. Anywho...learned set up, self launch, water relaunch, landing, ettiquette, self rescue, body dragging, lei care, and pack away. I can't wait till next lesson when we put a board under my feet!!!

I was on a 2013 Cab switch blade 14 and wind was 12-14 mph gusting 18-20. WHAT A RUSH!!!

It will only take you a few sessions to get up and riding and once you crack your upwind stance a whole new world is going to open up for you.

First lesson gets you hooked to take another, first board ride gets you hooked for life, welcome to the club.

Good choice on the gear, best way to get started. A second, smaller board will extend your wind range too.

You will love water .... and .... jumping high makes you feel like you can fly ....
.... Taking lessons will definitely speed up you learning ... and save you from doing some stupid mistakes that I did learning on my own ....
.... Let us know about you progression ..... and new gear .... looks like you set for light wind days .... you have about 4 month before FL get some stronger winds ... so keep saving for you christmas gift....
... And remember that water is way softer then land ..... so its ok to be a bit overpowered ... that also get you going faster .....
