first foil tensor 4.1. quiver question
First flight on my first foil this evening and once I figured out the bar I think I'm hooked. Wind was a gentle five with eight to ten gusts.
Question. I'd like to have a range of foils for various wind. Quiver wise am I better off going with a tensor 5 and add a 3 and then a 1.9?
Goal is to get the sizes right from the start so I always have the right foil to fly.

Small to big is the best way to go, let your skills grow with your kite size's. I would have started with the 3 then you're not tempted to fly the 4.1
in higher wind.

Asked this way -- If you wanted to the most coverage w/out over lapping what would be the best way to accomplish this? Looking to cover the light
wind days and wondering how much better the 5 would do vs the 4.1.

When I started out I used a 3m JoJo trainer, 4.5 and 7m Bullets. This covered all but the lowest winds.
I don't know for Prism but understand your question. I did find myself wishing at times that I also had a 5.5m but having the 7 made for a much better
low wind engine. I saw a fellow making nice work out of low wind and a Prism at WBB so they will work .
P.S. This is why I advise people to go with a 3m foil as their 1st kite. 4m is kind of an off size. Harder to re-sell and harder to build a quiver
around.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

When starting a quiver I recommend 2m increments. Usually 3m then 5m to start then fine tune from there for your local conditions.

Thanks for the input/replies. I picked up the Tensor 5 and flew it for the first time last evening. Light wind at 1- 2mph with 5 mph gusts... I was
surprised I was able to get it up and keep it up (took some work). I converted it from bar to handles and am hoping for more wind today. I still
have the 4.1 but will most likely return and get a 3 .... or even the 2.5. Problem I have with the 3 is the fact that it still may be too windy to
use for Beach days where as the 2.5 might be usable at Beach and inland when winds pick up.
I'm new to power kiting... wondering when I'll get bored of static (in place) flying and how many sub 5 kites I'll actually want going forward.

depends on what you move into. If you move into a bug you will still use your sub 5 kites, I have a pretty full quiver and my most used kite is the
