Fastest little (<2m) 4 line kite for static flying??
Im looking for a zippy little 4 line kite, preferably less than 2m, for static flying. Fastest turning and fastest flying. Hoping for low pull.
Anyone know?
Sorry if this is too similar to my last thread, I think I have a better idea of what I'm looking for now.
Holy dang! That smithi seems to be what I am wanting! Any word if the smaller, less pulling "pro" version is for sale in US yet?
Thanks!
Are the NTK or the mojo close to the rev in terms of performance? They certainly are much less expensive!
Haven't tried a Rev yet, but the Volksquad has some pretty good precision that is close enough to matching the Revs, not to mention some good build
quality, too. Of course, given that this was my first quad and I was kind of new to kiting at the time I got it, it's pretty beaten up. :bouncy:
But yes, I'd recommend the Volksquad to any beginner looking for a cheaper Rev.
PKD makes(made?) some tiny 0.7m 4 line Busters (the original Buster..looks like flying florescent pillow case gone freaking nutso..)
i have a couple small Busters(not for sale) that are furiously fast. if a person put some decent lines(OEM area little spongey/springy/elastic) on
them they'd be even faster.
PKD-0.7m Buster, 1.4m Buster, 1.8m Century
HQ-Beamer III 3m
PL-Reactor 3.8m, Reactor II 6.9m

Pansh-Sprint Ltd Ed 5m, 7m Ace
Flexifoil-Blurr 5m
FS- Pulse2 12m, Speed 1.5 17m, lots of Revs and dual line stunters

The Smithi & Smith Pro are both designed by Christoph Fokken who designs a lot of the ITW branded kites. The Smithi is part of the current ITW
catalog. It's quite possible that the Smithi Pro can be special ordered, but you will have to contact them (phone would be best) and make
arrangements. Most special orders take 4-5 weeks and possibly longer.
The Smithi Pro is made of a lighter material (lower wind range) and is about 2/3 the size of the Smithi.
They had me at "a foil that side slides." :o
I can side slide the smaller Flexifoil Stings and NTK Thunderfoils (the TFs are a bit easier), but it takes some practice and the winds have to be
moderate. A kite that is bridled that way as a design feature is all kinds of splendiforous.
