Naish Sigma Code 3 (3m) - Strut Issue

Buddy of mine gave me a 2008 Naish Sigma Code 3 (3m) kite that is in pretty good condition, maybe even excellent condition since the lines look absolutely brand new. Any it's not a one pump system so each individual strut has to be pump up. The problem is that on balls in the valve on the struts don't seem to work. Since the struts are so small it's almost impossible to close the valve before all the pressure runs out (specially on the outer struts), anyone have a fix for this? Do I need to get new valves for this thing? I wouldn't mind since it was given to me for free, just hoping for an easier solution.

The valves can be a PITA, especially on small struts like you said. Try orienting so the valve hangs down and the ball seals the hole by gravity before you pull the pump. Age of the valves really nothing to do with it - I have soem old C-kites and the urethane at the valves is till flexible.

It may be hard on the valves but if tipping doesn't work try a set of needle nose pliers. Use them to pich the valve before you pull thr pump?

I have never done it but valves can be replaced?

Both good ideas, thanks guys. I may have to just try and replace them, I hate to see this kite got o waste in such good condition. Just don't know if the cost=effort.
