Question about Price
Hello everyone. I have a HQ Montana 3 9.5 and a HQ Beamer 3 that I am looking to get rid of due to I have not used them in a long time and no longer
have the time or space to fly them. How much do you think these kites would go for now? Both are in very good condition. I was not sure if this should
be posted in the for sale section or not. If it should please let me know.

Let a couple members chime in on prices and then once you have them...repost in the "for sale" section. Have some pictures ready because everyone is
going to ask you...and include if shipping will be with or without asking price.
Good Luck.

I think this is the right section until you decide on a price.
It matters if it's Kite Only (KO) or Ready to Fly (RTF). RTF means lines and handles / bar are all included.
Montana:
A brand new HQ Montana is about $1350 (RTF), but I'm not sure what version they're on now. I'd just be guessing about the price, but I know that HQ
isn't *quite* as high quality as Ozone, Flexifoil or Peter Lynn. My guess would be about $500 RTF. Total guess, though.
Beamer III:
So I assume this is a Beamer III 3m (the red one?). If so, they are now on the Beamer V -- two updated models since. A new Beamer V 3m is about
$280-300, and the Beamer IV was a LOT lighter than the Beamer III, but the Beamer is always a fantastic kite and very much in demand. I'd say about
$100-150. Less if it's color faded or lines worn or patched or frayed bridles, busted up handles, etc.
Hope that helps, but I'd hear from another couple of PKF members before posting.

You shouldn't be able to get more than $25 each. I'll send you the money today. :frog:
The Montana should get about $500, and the Beamer should get about $150.
That's my guess. :-/

Actually, .jason is totally right. Those kites are total garbage and I think he's being a little optimistic. I have a crisp $20 bill right here that
matches the value of each kite .
What was your address?

I agree with Scott on this one, for the M3 9.5 you might be able to reasonably ask $300-$350 ready to fly, depending on condition, and if it is in the
original bag. Knock down the price for any stains or rips/repairs. If the lines are frayed, make sure you make that clear as well. Beamer III,
definitely around $150 or a little less, if you include the shipping, it should help move it as well.
Good luck with the sale. The used kite market as well as new kite market are both a little slow right not, set the price right and know what you will
be happy with and they may go pretty quick.

The Beamer should move for no less that $150. Depending on what the shipping is post it as $175-$200 because that kite is worth atleast $150 used but
include the shipping and you should be good to go. The Beamer is a dope ass kite anyways. That being said Ill give you $10 and 100 comments on the
forum saying you are the best flyer on here.

Sorry I missed this before. Generally for demos that are flown few times in good shape with no scuffs and still crispy I ask for 75% of retail of the
original kite (not the latest version). If there are scuffs or stains or minor repairs then something around 65%. These figures have been born out in
the marketplace over the last 6 years I have been in the game. Go on the higher side of your judgement for the Beamer as they are coveted and more
rare on the used market.
The Montana 3 was a sweet spot in the evolution of that line and should not be too heavily discounted if in good shape.
