The best kite, buggy, board, spot in the state.

Got to thinking about this the other day and I was wondering if it is possible to make a section here on PKF, that would post the best spots in each
state, province, etc.
I drove to Reno from Seattle a few years ago and I saw a dozen or so, drylake beds and stopped at a couple and played for a while. Not sure if I was
trespassing or whether it was OK to do but it was worth it nun the less. Would have been nice to know if it was OK, would have stayed a lot longer.

I know there are some websites that post kiteboarding spots, but the 100 times better kitebuggy is not included.:P
 Appex buggy, Libre hardcore buggies.
Flexboardz. Blokarts.
PKD Century Soulflys. NPW's. Nasa Stars.
A few other less flown oddballs,
Line sets from 10" to 328" or 2m to 100m.
worlds only AQR that works.
North American distributor for PKD.

My Back Yard...

Technically only legal for NAPKA events, but I love Long Beach, WA (Cranberry-Klipsan)..but maybe that's just because of the drive-time....
Next is Sunset, OR....but having NOT been to Alvord I'm kind of biased to beach riding...

My other two places I'd love to hear/see if there's any spot is Phoenix, AZ and Denver to Pueblo, CO (when home visiting family). Give me a reason to
pack some kites next trip!!
 NAPKA US70
Switch Element 2 15M, Element 3 11M, Helium 18M
Liquid Force Proof 161, MTH Custom (Water)

I'm sure everyone knows by now that Alvord is my favorite place to buggy, I haven't found anyplace better in Idaho, I bet there is a place in Twin
Falls, always blowing there but Twin is about the same distance for me as Alvord so thats a no brainer. Now I heard the place to snow kite is Camas ID
or Fairfield ID. Jeff, Gary Cole lives in the Reno area, give him a call, I'm sure he would be happy to give you some info, I think he is in the
market for a bug too http://www.facebook.com/gary.cole.125

Best place to buggy. Really depends on your mood that day. If I want to cruise with buggy buddies then Sunset Beach is tops, other days just being
able to drive the 10 minutes to Ona Beach (North side has a really small parking area, and the beach is split by a small, but deep creek that keeps
the beach combers from the state park on the south away from you) and just ride by my lonesome.
If you want a great view as you drop in to the valley with miles, and miles, and miles, and miles of open desert, then Alvord it is. Besides the best
shakes can be found there also. Just bring your insulin.

My three cents worth. For camp and fly from doorstep, Pacific Beach State Park, in Wa. when open, ( part of my obsession.)
2nd would be Beachside State park in Oregon, and third would be Nehalem State park in Oregon as well.

All of these, park, camp, and fly. Nehalem is third only because of the short drag of buggy over the dunes. Scenery at Pacific Beach is second to non.

Hope you never see it from 30 feet up. Still hard to like this beach.
