The hard pack was not very hard Sunday when I was there. No way a board will get going, not sure it the barrows will have much more luck. Had to use 4 wheel drive to get 1/4 mile up and down the beach.

I will pencil it in, hope for better sand conditions. I will bring my rain gear with my new kite, it's a big umbrella.

I wish SSB was close enough for a weekend outing but 13 hours drive is a bit much. Instead, we will be heading 8 hours south to Elmer's for the weekend. Next time I get a week off we are thinking of heading your way.

See some of you at NABX.

Sorry to hear about the rain at SSB this morning... hope it's clearing up for you guys.

We arrived at El Mirage Dry Lake a few hours ago and it's sunny and clear with :sniff: no wind. Got a good wind forecast for tomorrow, but today's going to be a lazy day. Later in the week it's also supposed be windy so I'm going to "Work From Home" next week :-) Not sure how I'm going to mount the alarm clock on my buggy so I don't miss any meetings but those are just details :shocked2:

It actually turned out very nice, although be it a bit chilly but no rain and winds were pretty much straight on-shore about 10-12 and then turned a little from the WNW at about 15. Was able to reach both ends of the beach (13mi) and reaching spds in the mid 40's. YAWZZA!! Oh ya, and it was great seeing everybody too :bigok:
