Key West Trip Early January

so im going to be riding to key west in early january and was wondering a couple of things...

any PKF'ers down there?

any good places with reasonable rental rates?

any thoughts on how i might ship my own gear, retrieve it there, use it there, and get it back to myself?

i will be on my motorcycle and dont think that i will be able to pack my kite/board/etc on the trip... im not necessarily going to kitesurf, but i would entertain the idea of getting some kiting done while i was there if it was feasible...

Maybe ship your gear to this kiteboard place and have them hold it till you get there?

Maybe Consider Miami??

Hi

Since you are driving right by Miami, you might want to consider kiting there as well. The # of spots and public access selection will be much better, and you'll drive right by on the way to & from Key West.

The amount of public access beaches in Key West are suprisingly small, since much of the land is private. It will also be peak season, so any public access may be crowded and you will definitely want to do some research on restrictions on kites.

Regards

Hello Every one,
In brief, I'm 24 Egyptian 170 Lb , 181 cm and after a noobie study i bought the 12m Cabrinha Omega HD and 130 Liquid force board.
Egypt is one of the most places that you can find really cool air spots as it's located between 2 seas and a huge river and bunch of lakes .. so that i decided to get in the sport.
I've finished the course and had some single sessions and still feel that the Bar pressure is really HIGH ! and it's getting worse..
I'm asking the experts what do you recommend? and what is the sizes and brands do you recommend?
Wind Chart 10 - 25 knots (all the time)

I would agree that there really is no good place as every square inch is a hot commodity.

I did go to the base (sorta) near the Southernmost point. The hotel dropped me off at Margaritaville and I walked to Southernmost, Hemmingway House (worth the tour) and then to the beach on the base.

However, the shore is rocky.

I really struggled to find a place.
