Kitesurfing in December - Cuba?

Hi,
I live in Canada and am planning a family vacation at the end of December/beginning of January/ Ideally would like to spend 4-5 days of it kiting.
Any recommendations where to go ?
I'm a beginner and will need to take several lessons. My 17 years old son will also join me. I do have 14M kite , board , etc.
However if there is an option to rent/use the gear locally and not pay a fortune , it's a preferred option.

Thanks

There is a large group from Southern Alberta going to Sol Cayo Guillermo, Cuba, Nov 28-Dec 12. Here is what the guy planning the trip posted on another forum. I have never been but this crew give Cayo Guillermo rave reviews.

"Staying beach front at Sol Cayo Guillermo, air, Airport transfers, room, food, drink , entertainment include and best of all on a beautiful sand KITE beach. with regular steady 20 knt winds ( 12m), and a couple 8m each week. December is a windy month, check wind guru archive. and crystal clear water and clean sand bottom, no rocks, no urchins no sea weed, in waist deep water for up to 1 km out with side on NE/E winds. A few small sand bars out front make small chop waves, and a nasty coral reef a few km out not fit for humans but Dolphins seem to like it. Cayo Guillermo is connected to the main land by a very long causeway road. You are truly away from everything. Check out Playa Pillar beach 1 km down wind. "

Nov 26 to Dec 14,2011 they had some excellent winds at Barcello Marina Palace in Varedero Cuba.

I think they are all experienced kiteboarders though, so they might not know about a good place to take lessons there.
