Hey all, just as the thread is titled whats the difference, apart from year??

was going to pick up a 4m hornet (flown twice) as my first/trainer kite then someone offered me a hornet 2 (used more) which costs a bit extra too. Is it worth it? The hornet 1 is perfect like new...

From what I understand there is almost no difference. I have flown both and the 2 flies a little faster but the 1 had a little more grunt. They are both good kites. I would probably take the 1 just for the fact it is less worn.

There was a big improvement on the construction of the bridles and there was a smaller adjustment in the overall sail shape/planform for performance as mentioned above.

The Hornet II is a very nice kite and is (IMO) better than the Hornet I, but that being said, the Hornet I is a solid performance kite that works excellent.
