What is you wife's "kite"

Ok, so in the last year, I've pretty much gone crazy crack addict style over kiting, I'm sure you can relate.

You know, ...spent a lot of money, joined a forum, on the computer when I'm not at the field flying, ... it consumes all the free thought... as I said, I'm sure you can relate.

So amidst my own blossoming addiction, my dear sweet wife was honing her own. She has gotten into scrapbooking,... no not just stickers and fancy paper, we're talking all out paper craft insanity,... with machines, apparatus, paint, glue, pens, etc. etc. etc. and a majority of a room in the house devoted to it,... and what's more, she BLOGS about it ( http://purplemailbox.blogspot.com/ if you're interested), and has gained some notoriety in the scapbooking world,... man, she's even been PUBLISHED in an e-book,... we are talking online class taking, chatting, blogging, twittering, picture posting insanity. (I must say I'm proud of her for the book though).

It's borderline epic.

So we ALL know what your addiction is,... what about your wife (or significant other),... what kind of "kiting" does she (or maybe he) do?

ps. she also blogs about gardening and knitting, but she's not as bonkers over that stuff.

CeCe has a 1.7 sting and will sometimes fly some bigger stuff. Her biggest thing is is craft stuff especially making all kinds of bead necklaces. She will spend hours going through thrift stores and clearance racks to find beads she likes.

Just to be sure we're all on the same page,... aside from you lucky guys whose wives are into ACTUAL kites,... I'm using "kites" as a metaphor for addiction, so...

What is your wife's addiction...

and no, not booze or crack,... you know what I mean,...

Bob, you're originally from TN right,... is it a southern girl thing or what???

Additional info to the original post,... Ashli would like for me to let you all know that yes, I have gotten her to fly a kite,... I strapped her onto the beamer and she gave it a go,... I'll get her more into it on the beach in a couple of weeks,... then maybe she'll REALLY get it. SCRAPPING BE D@MNED!!!! ... and yes she is very supportive of kiting

and also, she is a little OCD about watching google thing that tells you who is on your site and how long and where they're from,... she's already told me about how many hits she's gotten via PKF HAHAHA

nerd.

My wife's is crafts too. Embroidery, painting, some scrapbooking, and lots of paper type crafts. She will buy a $20 dollar book of paper and just tears the pages out for the patterns. When she lets me buy a kite it is because she wants to get something comparable. It works out though cause I get a kite and basicly she makes all the gifts she would ever give out and has even sold stuff to stores for them to sell.

Yes Soliver. She grew up in NC, got into scrapbooking in TN. It's great because it makes us better about taking pictures whenever we do something. "If it's not in the scrapbook, it didn't happen".

AHA! i knew it!!!

Well, Ashli and I met in art school, so we have both always been artsy fartsy people,... for her its more about the process than the pic,... she could probably make a scrapbook page with a picture of fish heads look cool.:singing:

lord knows she's done a few about my kites,... those just HAD to be cool.

but she's still a nerd.

I don't know if I would like a wife that fishes, unless I liked it to. WG, you better not throw that one back.
Renee has a Kindle and the Kindle Fire, she goes through a book every 3 to 4 days. Now that she has a motorhome, we have to GO a couple times a month. As long as I can drive it on and off the beach at Sunset and others, she is happy to let me go along. I watch the addiction grow as the upgrades are coming faster and with more expense. Can we put a washer/drier in the RV, or should we buy a newer Coach with one already in it? I wish she was into scrapbooking:rolleyes:
But I wouldn't trade her for nuthin, anything you want my love. hehehe
