Kite Festival in New Jersey

There is "International Kite Festival" coming to New Jersey shore (Wildwood beach) this weekend (May 27, 2006).

Did anybody went there before? Is there going to be any "Power Kites" such as HQ, Flexi Foil, or Ozone or it is pretty much family event with some weird animal kites?

I know many Buggiers head to that beach from time to time and I was wondering if the festival is for Buggiers or Kite Landboarders as well.

I guess it doesn't hurt to bring my gears anyway but if any other activities are not allowed, I might just cancel my trip.

Thanks. -Brian

Brian,

I went to a big kite event at Wildwood about 10 years ago. I was really into stunt kites (had Flexifoil Scorpian and a Rev) at that time. There were some foils there, but it seemed to be focused on stunt kites.

But, I'm sure things have changed a lot since then! I would call the folks at Cobra Kites in NJ and get the scoop.

The number is: 732-506-0388

Thanks DaVinch. I think I head out there one day to see what it's like. Worst case, it still is a beach trip with my family :)
