Do they still make 80s style scooters?????

Probably sounds random but its for a birthday present for my son. He is currently enjoying his metal scooter thingy with the rollerblade style wheels,
and is due for a new one. I got thinking of those Scooters from the eighties/nineties that had a BMX style wheel and hand brake. Can't seem to find
them online at all, or I'm typing in the wrong wording. I spend a few hours looking so now I thought I'd turn to your amazing minds to solve the
mystery. I'm on my phone, but when I'm at my computer I'll post a picture of what I mean. I just figure they were way better that these cheap aluminum
folding things that toss a kid at the sign of gravel. Thank again for being some people I can turn too when I run into a question I can't answer.

Yes that is exactly what Im looking for. I would buy a used vintage like that but I figured if there were a manufacturer still producing them then I
could reach parts if my boy broke something on it. Also if my middle child wants one then I could get another when his birthday arrives. I found one
model in the UK but figure shipping might kill me so gonna look for one in North America first.

Wow I couldn't find any of those when I was searching. The torker is what I'm looking for. Although the prices of those other scooters blows me away.
That folding style seems to be the big thing right now and I really have no idea why?? They even have em in the x-games for some weird reason. Thanks
again fellas this really helped me out. I think Ive got what I need.

Along with folding bikes, kick scooters (especially the upper tier ones) are popular with the commuter crowd. The scooters don't have quite the same
top-end speed, but are still fairly spritely, nimble in crowds, and collapses for travel on commuter rail and subways.
