Dedicated kiter near Idaho Falls

I was driving an overnighter to Jackson Hole from California Sunday night, and was surprised to see a kiter out and already flying by 7:30 a.m. somewhere around Idaho Falls. Impressive! Somebody from this forum? Never got close enough to get a good look at the kite, and not too sure of the exact location as I was a little punch-drunk at the time.

Bottom line- my hat's off to you!

Funny I did that exact same commute with the wife and kids last summer...no kiters though...and thank God we stopped in Salt Lake and didn't have to do that drive in one day! During that whole trip, I kept looking out the window seeing all these cool places to kite...but alas, no kites and not enough time.

Were they on a buggy, board or static or water?

I never saw the guy (girl?). Saw the kite along the road ahead but by the time I was abeam he was well off the road with a collapsing kite.

-2 fahrenheit at the time, btw. I'm assuming it was a snowboard or skis.

I cracked a rib or two at the end of the first day so I've been stuck watching moose out the back window all week. TG for Big Pharm!
