interesting, must line up where the optic nerve enters your eye. Even more interesting to realize there is a spot you can't see all the time and the brain just makes up for it.

You are correct. They teach this in some sniper schools (the spotter's portion)....that you have a natural blind spot and you should be aware of it when trying to observe things. (especially movement at distances)
