Terrific lesson with PushKiting

This is a bit stale but I've been meaning to post the following:

Over Thanksgiving I went to London to visit my girlfriend who was there for work. She got caught up working for most of the time so I took the
opportunity to slip away and take a landboarding lesson from Dave Ursell at PushKiting.

The train trip up to clacton-on-sea was really easy and then I took a short cab ride to the field.

Dave showed up with a van full of kites and boards. We went over kite setup and launched and did some static flying (2.5m blurr in 10-12mph winds).
He then put me on a board with no footstraps and we practiced getting moving. A bit tricky with no straps. Over the course of the 3 hours (that went
by really quickly) we covered strapped in riding, stopping, power sliding, and small hops, and I got a lot of practice time in.

It was an extremely helpful session for me and moved forward my kite skills and my board skills quite a bit. I didn't even realize how quickly the
time went by, and eventually I was just exhausted and my abs were killing me.

We packed up and rode 10 minutes up the road to Frinton, where I watched Dave, AJ, and Kris do their thing for a while. Amazing riders pulling huge
tricks. It was really a treat to watch.

All in all it was a pretty amazing session / day for me.

Anyway - the reason I'm writing this novel is to let people know that Dave is a great instructor - patient, very professional, tons of tricks and
insights into the finer points of flying and riding and his passion for the sport shines through. He's a really nice guy and a ton of fun to be
around. Same with the other push kiting guys.

So if you're in the area - I highly recommend a land or water lesson with the push kiting guys. They're fantastic.

Man I bet that the pointers he gave are worth the entire trip out there. I keep trying to convice my wife that a family trip to some location where I
could at least spend one day getting instruction from a quality group like the Push Kiting crew is something we should do. Unfortunately my vacation
time is always put towards visting the in-laws. Great story bud, really something for the rest of us to envy.

Thanks for the comments guys - yeah it was a great experience.

Cheezy - I'd love to meet up sometime. I've been hoping I'll be able to make the next Mike Dobbs bash or a New Jersey beach meetup.

Unfortunately I live in the city and I'm transportation impaired. Trying to find some time to bolt a rack onto the 230cc dirt bike that will be
serving as my kitemobile. That's one reason I've been looking to put together a fixed bridle quiver - need something that packs up small and travels
easy.

nice to hear the pk boys came through for you. i havent met dave but ive met the rest of the crew and theyre a great bunch of guy who really love the
sport. (as everybody can just tell from the vibe in their vids)
abit of a hijack but i think might be relavant, ive got some footage together that i might be able to cobble together into a bit of a tutorial. itll
be covering a basic jump and rotations ect and was wondering if people would like it as a single video or as seperate installments?
