 - first would be any visible holes from punctures or blow outs
- if flying it and you see slight bulges or odd shapes, this usually indicated internal damage from ribs separated from the outer skins
- look inside to see if you torn ribs
- check stitching on the outside to see if there are loose threads that might indicate an internal tear that has pulled the thread away

if the kite just feels odd or looks a bit off when flying there may be a bridle tab pulled out or a bridle leg cut etc

that's pretty much it. typically from crashes on the leading edge for that type of kite you'll get ribs that blow out from the impact. If the rib is
completely blown then the kite's shape will not look right in the air; if the rib is just torn you have to look into the kite from openings.
Basically the kite is full of air then it impacts the ground at the openings and the air has nowhere to go.
Pretty rare imho to tear the bridal from a crash.

Hold it at the ends of the bridle lines and let it fill. You will be nice and close so should be able to see if something is off.
Odds are it's not damaged.
