St. Simons Island, GA
Are the beaches along St. Simons island kite friendly? I'll be going there this year for my vacation in August and was wondering if there are any
special rules for kite flyers or any areas I should avoid.
I went to Hilton Head SC last year and they didn't allow kites with two or more lines until like after 6pm.

not sure, acampbell would know more details. he is in Jekyll just south. tides/crowd pressure could be the only limiting factor that come to mind.
late afternoon low is coincidence with typical S-SWmbreeze peak. it has been oddly offshore for mornings as of late.

St Simons is usually way to crowded to buggy safely and have fun. Jekyll island to the immediate south by 20 min is more wide open.
South of the hotels you have over 1.5 mi on weekends and weekdays more. Even holiday weekends are doable. $5 fee to get on the island but you get good
parking and facilities.
Call me when in town or before 912-265-1149 for details
