Looking for FS Unity Video
are there any out there yet. I really wanna see the auto-relaunch vs the Viron's. Since I got the speed 2 it seems that these are the kite for me.
edit: I mean the brand not just this kite. there won't be any arcs on the chopping block anytime soon though.
what I fly/ride:
19m Flysurfer Speed 2 SA
12m Flysurfer Speed2
6m Ozone access xt
1.5m Ozone imp trainer
144cm Airush Switch
152cm lib tech skate banana

Wish I knew WTH he was saying... I am quite interested in these when they come out.
Wavering between these and the Psycho 4.... if I like, then I'll grab the 6,8 and 10 and sell the frenzy's and access and when WW hits is when I hope
to try an arc. If those are my style then prob add a 12 and an 8 to round out the quiver.
Oh yeah and then pick up a 15m FS SP3 DLX for the man too
So yeah, just another $80,000 to the ultimate quiver (my ultimate quiver anyway!)

look at the tips of the kite collapsing or tucking....................seems to happen when the kite is being powered up or when the bar is pulled in.
As for freestyle kite, riding it unhooked or the CL is not hooked in. Grab a Pulse 2 before they are all gone. Probably get a nice discount too since
they are phasing out...............
the bar looked nice.................

Thanks for the video dom. I see what you mean with tip tuck. Could that be a byproduct of the minimalist bridle????? If it flies like a psycho, then I
assume then that it would be a kite that likes being worked instead of a park 'n' ride type kite. I really like the relaunch though. That bar does
like pretty bling as well/

Just a guess, but that the tip tuck could be due to the triple depower
I still park my p4 plenty (only ridden on land so far). Might have to sine it briefly to build travel speed in the lower mid range, but the apparent
wind builds quickly. I would guess the unity shouldn't be much different. Need more time on my v13, but for what its worth, I find I work my p4
definitely less than my v13.

Wondering.... which will have more float?
Psycho4 is not meant to have it, right? Did Pulse2 have it? Looks like the Unity may have some but really can't tell.
Also wondering the power delivery. I really like the smoothness if the Speed3.

I too believe the tip tuck is a bye product of the triple depower system..................Ive never had tip tuck on the Pulse, Psycho 3s, Pulse 2,
Silverarrow (Speed 1), and SA 2.
Power delivery on the Pulse 2 is very smooth Chuda. Also the Pulse and Pulse 2 are lower aspect ratio kites with more low end power and grunt. Also
faster on turns, boosts big with nice floaty entries, and relaunch is a breeze. Pulse and Pulse 2 are great buggy kites and awesome in the water if
you ever move to that discipline.
The P4 is more of a free style kite and Flysurfers answer to C kites and C Hybrids. Good for unhooked tricks, kite loops, raillies, etc........... Im
pretty sure your not there yet, nor am I (lol). There is one buggy pilot headed to WBB that flys the Outlaw and may give you a go. Pretty much the
open cell version of the Pulse. Good luck and my preference would be the Pulse 2........If you can make it to JIBE on the May 20/21st you can fly any
of my Flysurfers. I know you have a killer buggy.............good luck and hope to see you at JIBE

Thanks Tri - yeah, I am DEFINITELY not there yet!
The man and I are now contemplating water so that is another reason I am looking at the closed cell FS and PL. That, and in the gustyness that we
experienced at Tug Hill where the open cells will have a tendency to quickly drift back into the power and then shoot you out of a cannon (which I
guess is due to the quick inflate from the wide open leading edge), we are hoping that the closed cells from both FS and PL are not as touchy since
they stay inflated and in theory should not be as dramatic a power surge.
As I have previously mentioned, flying the Speed3, although I was very timid and realize the power it has, was almost more relaxing as the onset
seemed much smoother than the open celled. It just got me thinking about a lot of the crap winds we have gotten that we won't even bother to fly in
because we value our wellbeing too much. So really, just trying to adjust the quiver to accommodate for a bit "safer" flying.
Ultimately I would love to have the following to cover what I think would be overkill but should satiate the conditions we experience most for both me
and the man and would also work on water:
- PL arc 8 and 12m
- Pulse2 or Unity 6, 8 and 10m
- Speed 3 DLX 12 and 15m

Hi Chud,
I will be at the wild wood buggy bash Friday - Sunday. Your welcome to try out my FS quiver. I personally recommend the psycho 4 in the smaller sizes.
The extra performance really makes them a lot of fun and the 8m and 10m really don't tip tuck. The 12m psycho 4 tip tucks a lot and my friend
foilbrian got rid of his because of that. I have found for me (220 lbs) on the water my quiver covers what I need 10-20mph 15m speed3 deluxe, 20-30mph
12m speed 3, and for 30+mph 8m psycho 4. In reality I don't think there is a foil that handles gusty conditions great. Their non ridged structure
allows for canopy collapse with sometimes violent jerking on reinflation. I feel that the closed cell foils are a little better than open but I still
get thrown around. If you like your 12m speed 3 I recommend the 8m psycho 4 to me it feels like I'm flying my 12m speed3 in terms a handling and float
in jumps.
My 2 pennies,

Thx Frathouse!! Can't wait to give it a try!!!
That is one sexy quiver you have :embarrased:
At one point I was even thinking of a Pulse2/Unity 6m and psycho4 in 8 and 10 but heard lots of stuff (including Tri above) that it really is only for
advanced riders so it kind of turned me off. I don't see myself ever going unhooked or wanting to SNAP myself skyward. More of a take it
easy/slow-nonbroken bone kind of gal (as I type with a still broken thumb)
And may i just add - you guys are awsome. So helpful and ready to lend a hand or gear when possible.
(OK gushing over )

Chudalicious, if you are flying the speed3, you should handle the p4 fine. Compared to the pulse, I believe the P4 turns faster and builds apparent
wind faster - allowing bigger jumps *if* you want them (not like your gonna hit the moon by accident though, huge jumps need the right technique).
Float is pretty sweet!! The center vent when closed is 'supposed' to make the P4 more like the pulse - haven't fiddled with it much though. So, even
if you freeride (like me), don't count out the p4.

regarding the unity discussion...ya it does tip tuck like the p4, and turns faster like the p4. Apparently, the unity drifts better than the pulse,
so is improved for wave riding and unhooked too. Looking at the video and pics, it isn't as thin in profile as the p4, which could play a factor
still. With all these improvements, the only difference left between the unity and p4 could be how the kites react to apparent wind. I am guessing
the psycho series still develops its power a bit faster, otherwise, there would be no reason to keep the psycho series around. Guys in the know at
foilzone say a p5 is still planned, so there must be at least that one difference left, otherwise, why make the p5.

good info - tough to tell. Also, I thought they were calling it the unity because it united the pulse2 and P4?!
I know they have tanked with some other designs so I'll have to resist until the verdict is out on the unity (plus I want to try the P4 8m at WW)
It is so exciting though.
It's funny... I am very new skill-wise but it is SO exciting to think about new kites and the possibilities. Days when I know it is showing up at work
I can't help but check and recheck the tracking to see EXACTLY where the box is in transit.

Pulse/Pulse 2 both drift well on waves hooked/unhooked but not as well as inflatables.......................Ive been on Flysurfer since 06 and kinda
know what Im talking about on water. Maybe I should frequent foilzone more............................
The Pulse, Psycho 3, and Pulse 2 are superb kites that have no issues and you can def save some $$$. Ping Powerzone @ powerzonekitesports and ask him
what he's flying.............................
Chuda, save some change and go with a Pulse or Pulse 2. Great buggy kites and awesopme intro kites on the water but you may want to check with the
foilzone crew first.............................

with all those smilies Tridude, that's got to be a ribbing. hey hey, not discounting your experience or the pulse, simply saying the P4 is working on
land for me, and I am no freestyle master. That's all.
Chudalicious...FS indicates that the unity is a replacement for the pulse2 on the unity page

Yeah the pulse2 really seems to have the right mix. It would be nice to here a review on the unity from a person having experience on both kites. Next
year I'm hoping to be able to order a whole set of kites to suit my needs, so I'm sure there will be all kinds of reviews and videos by then. As of
right now I'm more than happy with what I have.
