Tear Aid (type A)

repaired 3 kites the past couple weeks and thought I'd share with you. I purchased /used tear aid, type A, on 2 foils and one LEI.

Foil repairs were both cell seam tears. Each repair involved A row bridal atachment points and one tear was past B row bridal attachment point as well.

LEI had a tear in the inflation nipple (my fault/pumping without glasses) and pulled nipple the wrong way and tore it Replaced nipple and re-installed bladder but twisted it during install (again my fault). Pumped bladder and it popped. Bladder removed, hole covered with tear aid, reinstalled ( no twist this time), pumped to 10 psi for 2 hours. Bladder maintained 10 psi..........

All reapirs have been flown and are solid. Regardless of your quiver type, tear aid is a must for the kite bag.................on site, instant repairs, saving your session!:thumbup:

sure.......................tear aid is flexible with a bit of stretch. My cell seam tear thru 2 bridal rows is over 24 inches long and the kite flies awesome.......the tear/repair is on my 9m Quadrifoil Comp.............................

When I was in Baja a botched assist land ended with the kite on a fence poking holes in a number of spots. Tear aid saved the day and I was up and flying. I patched both sides and cleaned with alcohol and let air dry prior to patch. I got the tear aid from Dakitez.
