North Dyno

Approved by PMU ... for those who visit The Zoo and are aware of his/her antics, you'll notice the same old rubbish in this "technical" report that PMU vomits up ... and all the same logical fallacies and spurious reasoning.

Looks like I won't be buying North any time soon :o

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

PMU = Pump Me Up = LEI....

Although, given Kamikua's tone, it could just as easily mean Pregnant Mare Urine

but this text does not seem to be from PMU , but from "Ken Winner" ?!?

quote form the text:
"here are some notes from designer Ken Winner"

so do we finally have the identity of PMU revealed? strange..

If you don't know, don't waste your time
Could be, Herc - it's just too similar to be coincidence ... either that, or he reads PMUs posts and believes them :o

All arguments aside about which is better - the biggest problems in that "technical report" are their total failures of logic and that's all I wanted to point out. I especially love the baby who just has to jump into the thread trying to pick a fight and crying about how he hates another forum

Apparently it's not a technical report, it's the designers thought process and not really a marketing blurb. Ah ha. I'd rather not jump on THEIR Facebook page and poke holes in them though ... I think that's bad form ;)

Sigh, see the whole problem is that if it DOES end up in a foil vs LEI debate - and it always does - we don't get the aeronautical or fluid dynamics scientists posting, you get dumbasses who post things like "the (FS) kite feel is just lame to me" or "Foil kites lack a lot of the soal I perfer" (sic) and of course "I can't understand why people can declare any kite a light wind winnder when there are a bunch of kites that work in 7 knots? I think that makes any one with a light wind kite the winner?" Gah!

It's quite a pity as aside form the horrendous colours, I like North kites and boards and bars but if they're going to descend into the "Fords are best cos Chevy's suck cos I said so" rhetoric, then ...

Good to hear Don! I think the P3 13 has as much grunt as and is easier to fly than the P4 15 :o just watch that new trimmer though - I managed to get the tongue of the plastic buckle stuck under the metal squared ring  I guess the strap is still too smooth :)
