And now the National Weather Service has issued a Tsunami Watch for the Coast of South Washington extending down to the Central Oregon Coast. They
are expecting the wave to hit at 07:15 local. (if there is one at all). Guess there is a chance of me getting wet.
Kami hope all is well and you and your family are safe tonight

City Police here just came by the hospital where I work. They say it's crazy!!! Only one 24hr gas station in town. Now granted they have 8 pumps.
They only have one cashier, and one person pumping gas, (no you can not pump your own in Oregon) They Road out of town is bumper to bumper.
Glad they hospital sits up high. Told the other nurses that in the morning I'm gonna grab a cup of Dutch Bros Coffee and watch the wave from the
light house (sits about 100' above the beach)

 Thanks all!
We're fine - we're about 700km away from the mess up north and well inland ... and 100m above sea level. Did feel it though - I suddenly felt like I
was really drunk or stoned or something ... weird feeling, weird quake!

This should centered on where we are - http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Japan,+Shi...
Zoom out and look north east for Sendai where the tsunami have made a mess.

Fingers crossed for the rest of the Pacific Basin :o
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two... |

Hey CSA the footage I saw of the Tsunami coming in with foam in middle and lovely lefts and rights was pretty wicked with others lining up.
no tubes that I could see.

Seems the tsunami was real localized - everywhere else seems to have gotten off with nothing but a mountain of hyperbole and paranoia from CNN ...
seriously, WTF is with blowing it all out of proportion? Yeah... I got a kite. Or two... |
